TUNAP Overview: 800 Employees, 4 Factories and 240 Million € Turnover

In the early years TUNAP buildes up its reputation particularly with its maintenance and care products for the automotive workshop area. To date, four decades later, these sectors are still in focus. But TUNAP in 2018 offers more. From the purely German supplier of workshops TUNAP has raised today to an international group of companies. It produces and distributes at four production sites a comprehensive range of chemical products for industry, private brands for cosmetics and technics and chemical products and systems for the automotive after sales market.

Company

The TUNAP group is combining today several sales and manufacturing companies. In 18 international markets in Europe, America and Asia TUNAP is represented by its own subsidiaries.

The company currently employs 800 people and generates a sales volume of 240 million Euros. TUNAP is a very successful medium-sized company with high equity ratio.

Production sites

From the very beginning TUNAP feels as "Bavarian company". At its headquarter in Wolfratshausen 140 employees work in administration, sales and production. Also, the central research and development is located here.

In the region TUNAP is one of the major employers. Many people work for many years or even from the beginning in the company. 2008, the corporate headquarters was extensively rebuilt and modernized. 2011 TUNAP received the first Wolfratshausen economy award in recognition of outstanding entrepreneurial economic activities.

Market Positioning

TUNAP now includes companies in almost all European countries, China and America. At the same time, Germany remains the most important market. TUNAP is one of the largest European manufacturers of industrial aerosols and is the innovator in many areas. Especially for products for use in automotive workshops TUNAP plays a leading role. 2006 TUNAP presented with the product "TUNSolve" the first safety cleaner, which was developed together with independent key institutions such as the safety committee of the employer´s liability insurance association and TÜV Süd. With its patented air-conditioning cleaning system TUNAP offers the state of the art solution for breathing healthy air in the car.

TUNAP combines several divisions that provide products and services for different target groups:

1. TUNAP Automotive

TUNAP is now considered service number 1 partner for vehicle manufacturers, dealerships and workshops. The portfolio includes chemical products, both for maintenance and for repairs and solutions for all vehicle ranges: From the engine, brakes and body through the air conditioning system to the maintenance and care of interior spaces. TUNAP is a partner of almost all major car manufacturers.

2. TUNAP Industry

TUNAP develops and markets high-performance and special lubricants for the most varied industries, from heavy industry to the food industry up to the plastics industry. The offer also includes services related to the lubricant management to concepts for cost reduction.

3. Private Brand Technics

In strategic alliances TUNAP develops and manufactures products and ranges for (trade)marks in technology sales and multi-level trading. Clients include well-known companies in the wholesale and retail sector. The laboratory offers customer-specific developments and sustainable performance.

4. Private Brand Cosmetics

For leading international manufacturers and traders in cosmetics, personal care and health technology TUNAP supplies cosmetical sortiments and products. Customers benefit through individual solutions from the research and development of practical solutions to logistics. The range includes hair sprays and foams, deodorants, sun care products, shaving foams, panthenol, repellent and natural cosmetics.

5. TUNAP Sports

In the rapidly growing mobility market TUNAP offers innovative new consumer concepts for exclusive bike technology. TUNAP Sports customers enjoy bike quality at the top level. An own special maintenance assortment offers the highest performance with maximum environmental compatibility. Also a new cosmetic line for bikers is offered.

Chemistry and Environmental Protection

As a manufacturer of chemical products TUNAP is aware of its special responsibility. The company is a member of the Bavarian Environmental Pact and certified according to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (EMAS) and OHSAS 18001 (safety management). TUNAP has been involved for many years in the development and application of new products that support the new drive technologies of motor vehicles and thus contribute to the reduction of emissions.
