A perfectly cleaned air conditioning and 1.25 billion euros for car dealergroups

A Tesla S, crammed full of 1.25 billion Euros, will be on display at the Automechanika in Frankfurt from 13 to 17 September at the joint booth of the Zentralverband Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (ZDK) and TUNAP (Hall 9 Level 0 Stand D62). The "dream car" impressively symbolizes the sales potential that car dealerships can offer with the professional cleaning of air conditioning systems, regardless of which drive concept is used in the vehicle. This impressive sum was calculated by a study by Prof. dr. Stefan Reindl from the Institute for Automotive Industry (IFA) at the University of Applied Sciences (HfWU).

Health in the car revives the business

In particular, the study highlights the after-sales business, which provides car dealers with stable revenues and good returns, but whose success can not be rested. Because the maintenance and service orders are declining and the competitive pressure is great. Attractive offers on "health in the car" revive the study, not only the maintenance business, but at the same time make an important contribution to customer satisfaction and thus customer loyalty. The Tesla S demonstrates that the topic of health will also play an important role in this future technology of the automotive industry through a cleaned air conditioning system and thus a hygienic indoor climate.

1.25 billion euros market potential

The market potential of around 24.5 million vehicles - around 55 percent of the vehicle fleet - is high. Today, however, only a share of at most 22 percent of the sales potential of around 1.6 billion euros is realized by the service providers in Germany. Conversely, this means that 1.25 billion euros could be conquered with targeted activities.

Healthy course for success

"We would like to show with our trade fair campaign: Cleaning the air conditioning systems not only makes an important contribution to the customer's health, but also sets important course for the commercial success of a car dealership," says Keim, Marketingmanager of TUNAP Deutschland "The joint appearance at the fair with the ZDK, which represents the professional interests of some 38,500 motor vehicle manufacturers in Germany, underlines the importance of this topic," emphasizes Keim.
