TÜV Confirms: TUNAP Fuel Products Reduce CO2 Emissions

26/01/11

Tests performed by an independent institute have confirmed that TUNAP fuel products are making an important contribution to caring for the environment. This brings transparency in the market for fuel additives. The demands from users for results from independent testing institutes have hereby been met.

As one of the largest testing institutes throughout the world, the TÜV (Technical Inspection Authority) has a good name. TUNAP in Wolfratshausen has now had its fuel cleaning products and fuel system agents tested independently by the TÜV Thüringen, which specialises in testing fuel products.

The results of the extensive investigations: TUNAP fuel products have been demonstrated to reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

The products tested were the TUNAP direct cleaning products and additive (system agents) for diesel and petrol engines. Direct cleaners are usually used where there are acute problems – for example if there are stubborn deposits in the area of the fuel system or on the valves. System agents are used as a preventative measure and serve to preserve the value of fuel systems.

Extrapolating on the results one can say that an automobile dealer with a workshop throughput of 20 per day can therefore save about 100,000 litres of fuel and about 250,000 kg of CO2 a year for its customers!

The fact that the conventional test seal, for example “Tried and tested ef-fectiveness“ says little to the user is why there is detailed information on the test marks for the TUNAP products about which values are improved by the respective product.
