Stowaways in your air conditioning system? We let you breathe easily again!

Over the course of time bacteria, fungal cultures and micro-organisms grow on the air conditioning system vaporiser.  The result is unpleasant decomposition odours.  The causes and symptoms of smell nuisances.  Can be swiftly and safely remedied using the technology of leading innovator TUNAP.

The service involves rinsing and disinfecting the vaporiser and cleaning air ducts and condensation water drains.

Injection and valve cleaning with micro logic® PREMIUM 137

>> Video clip

TUNAP removes deposits in the combustion chamber and on valves and injectors.

In the last two years the problem of deposits in the injector and valve area has become clearly more acute. This is due mainly to two factors. On the one hand the quality of the fuel and on the other the high temperatures in the vicinity of the injectors and combustion chamber.

Modern engines are by their very nature so designed that they require high-quality fuels. However fuel of the requisite quality is not always available. An additional complication is the fact that legally an addition of replaceable raw materials (e.g. alcohols) is permitted, which under certain circumstances can reduce the quality of the fuel.

Injector jets today are fitted at sites where extremely high temperatures are the order of the day. Because of this burnt-in residues can accumulate which can bring about the widest range of malfunctions. The most frequent symptoms are uneven idling and misfiring on acceleration.

With the lean-burn concepts in the fuel system, primarily with petrol injection engines very hot and dry combustion states can be achieved. This in turn generates very hard deposits which to date have been very difficult or even impossible to clean. Even the crankcase breather system causes additional deposits in the combustion chamber and at the inlet valves, mostly when the engine oil quality does not meet requirements.

TUNAP now offers a solution with micro logic® PREMIUM 137 combustion chamber, valve and injector cleaner which is highly effective due to a new, special problem-solving formulation.

Use of the cleaner which comes in a twin-chamber pressure pack can, is via a regulator adaptor using compressed air.

The cleaning system is also suitable for bio-fuel vehicles. In this case the vehicle is started with petrol and after a warm-up phase is then propelled using gas. In this operating state the fuel remains in the injector jet. This can lead to deposits due to the high temperatures in the vicinity of the jet, as there is no rinsing or cooling effect of petrol on the jet when running on gas.

Problem: deposits on the valve stem, valve head and seat. In the vicinity of the valve stem wear marks can be seen. Further, there is a high degree of combustion chamber carbonisation or "widening" of the injection orifices at the injector tips. The deposits are for the most part carbon with traces of metals. The deposits are very hard in consistency and cannot even be mechanically removed without application of major force.

After cleaning with micro logic® PREMIUM 137 the treated valves are freed from deposits in the vicinity of the valve stem. At the valve head high levels of deposit were successfully reduced. Even the combustion chamber carbonisation and "widening" of the injection orifices at the injector tips were outstandingly clean.

Cleaning the fuel system with active system agents

The same as a coffee machine needs to be descaled or the central heating boiler burner needs to be cleaned regularly it is necessary to clean the car engine injection system on a regular basis.

During inspections and oil changes the entire fuel system, in particular injector pumps, injector jets, valves and combustion chamber should be cleaned.

In that way increased fuel consumption is prevented and the fuel mixture preparation is standardised - as per manufacturer's stipulations. In addition long-term lubrication of injector pumps and injector jets is ensured in order to prevent increased wear and tear.

This means greater security for the end customer by reducing any possible subsequent repair costs.

TUNAP has been the technology leader with three decades of experience in the field of active system agents.  Ask our advice!

LPG System valve protection even at heavy load

>> Video clip

Lack of lubrication in gas engines causes increased wear in valves and valve seating, above all under high stress.

In some engines this makes expensive cylinder head overhaul essential at relatively low mileage. Regular use of TUNAP's LPG active system agents significantly reduces valve wear.

The TUNAP LPG System has been successfully tested by Irmscher and released by Opel. Use of the system is actually prescribed for Opel LPG vehicles to maintain guarantee validity. The system has two components - one for gas tanks  (micrologic® PREMIUM 164) and one for petrol tanks  (micrologic® PREMIUM 163).

Micrologic® PREMIUM 164 is made up of compounds wholly soluble in liquid gas. The active ingredient is already dissolved in hydrocarbon compounds akin to liquid gas. This ensures optimal mixing with liquid gas in the gas tank.

Under the combustion conditions in the combustion chamber the reaction products of the system agent adhere to the valve and valve seating surfaces. They ensure improved lubrication and hence discernible reduction in wear.

Why is another system agent needed in the petrol tank?

Micrologic® PREMIUM 163 contains the same active ingredient mixture as the gas product and ensures that the additive adheres to the valve and valve seats after every cold start.

The protective coating built up by the gas product is so stable that it suffices to have a little added via the petrol in the brief phase after cold starting. The petrol additive is therefore essential.

Time of use

Both TUNAP system agents are used during modification before the tank is first filled with gas as well as during maintenance, repair and service work. They must be topped up every 10,000 kms at the latest.

Optimal functioning of a gas-driven vehicle depends on  factors other than the valves that cannot be influenced by the TUNAP System. These include

  • consistent gas quality,
  • the technical quality of the gas plant used,
  • and the availability of summer and winter gas mixtures.
