Healthy air test results
February 09, 2011, 07:00 AM
How do you evaluate the air you breathe in your car? No idea? You’re not alone. The German Allergy and Asthma Federation (Deutscher Allergie und Asthma Bund) has been a great help in this area.
Consumers consider their health a major factor. Allergics and asthmatics in particular look for as healthy an environment as possible. In Germany 24 million people suffer from allergies. Buildings and one’s own home are usually fairly acceptable from this standpoint but no one bothers much about vehicle interiors and ventilation systems.
The Federation’s latest contributions to medical knowledge on this subject address the problem. The average individual, after all, spends a lot of time commuting in their vehicle, and inhales whatever the air conditioning system has to offer. The testing was done by the GUI (Gesellschaft fuer Umwelt und Innenraumanalytik, Environmental and Interior Analysis Company). Check the December issue of the "Allergie Konkret" magazine on the Internet at www.gesund-im-auto.de for full details.
The good news is that our clients can do something to ensure they have a healthy vehicle interior. The worst case is that germs, bacteria and fungus form on the air conditioning evaporator and adjacent pollen filter.
These risks to health may cause odours as well. The surprise is that the experts concluded that some of the servicing and cleaning substances used on air conditioning and ventilation systems are wholly ineffective whilst others actually make matters worse. Clients wanting to be on the safe side must have their air conditioning and ventilation systems cleaned in a specialist workshop using the technology that won the test.
TUNAP’s Contra Sept® System is the only effective system that’s totally safe to your health. All other systems failed the test whilst the TUNAP System was awarded a “Good” mark. The specialist workshop flushes the air conditioning evaporator under high pressure, thus mechanically removing all contaminants and impurities and preventing any new ones from forming. Our aim is to persuade clients to ask expressly for our system when they visit a specialist workshop.
Many such workshops that have used this system for a long time feel the test results confirm their use of our product, because our evaporator cleaning procedure is much more thorough than is usual. Regular replacement of the pollen filter is of course very important for allergics and asthmatics, often performed together with cleaning of the possibly contaminated filter environment. Detailed results and the HR3 TV programme with its very positive views from our standpoint are on the Internet at www.gesund-im-auto.de.
